SUSTAINABILITY
We are committed to striving for a better world, where sustainability is a forefront concern for every business.
Whilst we recognise that fashion is not inherently sustainable, we are actively taking sustainable and ethical measures in every aspect of our business:
Our decision to release our product in limited drops controls our manufacturing process in a way that lowers waste and ensures our bikinis find a home, rather than being left in unknown quantities in warehouses with no potential of being worn.
Our bikinis are carefully crafted from recycled products. We use a 78% recycled polyester* and 22% spandex blend. The recycling of non-renewable resources means the reduction of harmful emissions into the earth’s atmosphere, whilst lowering the demand for petroleum and reducing the number of fashion items that end up in landfill.
When you purchase one of our bikinis, you can expect to receive each item in compostable and recyclable packaging. You should not expect extra and unnecessary wrappings that cannot be reused or recycled. Our packaging is basic and fit for purpose. It’s the designs and styles of our bikinis that matter, not the pretty box they come in.
Finally, our bikinis are all designed and made in Australia. By keeping our design and manufacturing close to home, we ensure less carbon emissions and unnecessary importation of materials. We are also provided with confidence that every person involved in the process of getting our bikinis into your hands, is treated with respect and dignity, assured by Australian Law.
We love our world and all the people in it. The reality is, our bikinis do not matter if we are unable to care for the planet and people living on it. We want to see our bikinis play a small part in making our world a better place.
*The recycled polyester is of a Global Recycled Standard, or GRS-Standard.
